Summary: Empty House AU. Watson recognized Holmes in his bookseller's disguise, but it wasn't the first time he had seen him since returning from Reichenbach Falls. He was determined to ensure that it was the last time, however, no matter how much he wished otherwise.
Author's notes: This is an AU blend of both canon and Granada's versions of The Empty House, a remix of sorts of Timing, a terrific piece byrandom_nexus, combined with a lovely prompt from the fabulous methylviolet10b (who also did a spectacular job as beta/midwife -- thank you!).
